Google Vids adds conversational editing and personal avatars

Google introduced Gemini Omni and personal avatars in Google Vids on July 16. Users can generate video from text and reference images, then refine backgrounds, lighting or effects through natural-language instructions.

Personal avatars support camera-free presenter videos for training, sales explanations and project updates.

The efficiency gain does not remove the need for approval. Any video using a person's likeness, customer information or public claims should be reviewed before distribution.
